Tom Houston

Church Pastoral Worker

Tom is our Church Pastoral Worker having joined us with a theology degree from ForMission College and a Contemporary Chaplaincy qualification with Waverley Abbey College. When he’s not serving at church you’ll be able to find him on the pitch playing for his local rugby club.

Marlene Brooker

Church Community Worker

Marlene is our Church Community Worker. She does many things with us, including our work with preschool children and mums (Mucky Ducks). She also hosts a weekly ladies bible study group called Yahweh. Her puppet shows are already becoming legendary!

Claire Martin

Claire was a missionary in Uganda for many years. She ran our café until recently.

Jon Rogers

Jon teaches Computing at a local school and is also an Elder. He is a regular speaker and also our go-to person on all things technical.

Karen Curran

Karen’s working career focussed on teaching adults with learning difficulties; she is now retired and takes the lead on worship and safeguarding and runs our seasonal choirs.

Kathy Yates

Kathy is an accountant. She looks after our finances, leads our Trustee Team and works with the children each Sunday.

Katia Merine

Katia leads a procurement team at the local University. She runs our work supporting students in our congregation.

Mark Curran

Mark is now retired from working in the older peoples’ housing sector. He chairs our leadership team and is also a Trustee and Elder.

Doug Preston

We have been blessed by Doug being with us for more than 30 years and recently retired from the role of Church Pastoral Worker. Doug continues in his role of Trustee and Elder.

Lisa Cutts

Catering Manager

Lisa leads our café team – she has previous experience in running cafés and restaurants and has been with us for several years.

Cheryl Howarth

Assistant Cook

Cheryl joined us in 2021 as our Assistant Cook and has given a real boost to our café team.
