Welcome to Canley Community Church!

We’re a friendly, open church who try to make everyone feel welcome, whether you’re a visitor or you’ve come hundreds of times. Before the service on a Sunday morning is a perfect chance to have a cup of coffee or tea and get to know some of us.

We’re committed to using the Bible to determine how we meet together, how we worship and what we do in the community. We are convinced that God is just as relevant to our world today as when the Bible was written and seek to share this with everyone.

We want to make lots of contributions in the Canley area. There are lots of groups that meet in the church building and our members are involved in many different community groups.

Our main Sunday service is at 11am and you can find out about all our weekly activities (including things for families and children) on the website, find out about how students can fit in, listen to some of the teaching that has been given on Sunday mornings or just have a look around!

You can also find us on Facebook – and “like” us!

Sunday worship – back in the building!

With the move from Lockdown to Tier 3 restrictions we will be able to worship together in the building from Sunday 6 December. We will be following Covid guidelines including pre-booking and the use of sanitizer, masks and ventilation – bring a warm coat as windows will be opened. As before in the autumn, the sermon may be pre recorded rather than live and the service will be live streamed so that those not in attendance can watch at home. We will also produce a DVD for those who need one but this will not be available until after the service. We look forward to being able to worship together in the church building.

To book in to attend the service, email Karen kc3927@aol.com or use the online booking form.

Building Closure

It is with sadness that we confirm that, in line with Government restrictions, the church building will be closed for all activities from 5th November to December 2nd. This includes the café as well as our services. It is planned that we will continue to live stream the Family Service from the building at its usual time of 11am on Sunday mornings. Only those taking part in the service will be able to attend the building. For those who have no internet access we will continue to produce DVD copies of the service.

During this difficult time we continue to support members and friends of the church with phone calls, doorstep visits and practical support where needed. Thank you to all of those who are helping with this.

It has been a great joy to be back in the building for the month of October and, God willing, we look forward to being back in the building in December, but whatever happens we plan to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, Christmas is not cancelled!
